Stainless Steel Slip-On Flanges

Stainless Steel Slip-On Flanges slide over the end of a pipe and are fillet-welded both inside and outside, making them one of the quickest and most economical flanges to align and install. Their bore is slightly larger than the pipe's outer diameter, so the flange slips into position before welding.

Available with flat face, raised face and ring type joint (RTJ) facing, our slip-on flanges are manufactured in a wide range of stainless grades and stocked in sizes and pressure classes to suit most piping requirements. While they don't match the pressure and fatigue rating of a weld neck flange, their ease of installation makes them a popular, cost-effective choice across process industries.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Stainless Steel Slip-On Flange?

It is a flange that slips over the end of a pipe and is then fillet-welded both inside and outside for a secure, leak-tight joint.

How is a slip-on flange different from a weld neck flange?

A slip-on flange is easier and cheaper to align and install since it doesn't need to be butt-welded, but it has lower pressure and fatigue strength than a weld neck flange.

Which grades are available?

SS 304, 304L, 304H, 316, 316L, 316Ti, 317, 317L, 321, 347, 347H, 410, 430 and 904L, among other ASTM A182 stainless grades.

Which sizes and pressure classes are available?

We manufacture slip-on flanges from ½" NB to 48" NB across pressure classes 150 to 2500.

Which face types are offered?

Flat Face (FF), Raised Face (RF) and Ring Type Joint (RTJ) slip-on flanges are all available.
